To invite trained skilled professionals, the country’s government has announced Central Skilled occupation lists, such as the Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL), and the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL), along with several State Occupation Lists, such as the SNOL, and the WASMOL.

At present, it is the easiest visa category that requires neither a job offer nor a nomination from Australian state. It allows the successful candidates to live and work in the country permanently. To qualify, it is essential that you score at least 60 points on the basis of the various factors, such as language proficiency, age, qualification, etc.

Skilled Regional (Provisional) Subclass 489 Visa
If you are interested in Australia skilled immigration, but do not want to live in the country indefinitely, then it will be a good choice for you. It is a state nominated category that allows you to live and work in Australian regional area for up to four years. To apply, you need to get a state nomination; a close family member already living in regional area can also nominate you for the class.
