    I am about to apply for the SWP and I am unsure about apply using this NOC (1123) or the senior managers one. I have more than 10 years filling roles as a Marketing and Product Manager, having responsibilities that involves all areas of marketing including some communication, promotions and advertising although my strength is in strategic marketing (product marketing). This is in terms of functional duties but I have also reached senior positions within the field reporting to the CEO and being in charge of all customer-facing major teams (Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, etc) having a team of up to 20 with 5 direct supervisors reporting directly. So, my concern is that it seems that the occupations are based on functional skills but there are other that are hierarchical. Which one should I apply?. Do I have to fit all the duties in each or have a minimum of time performing any of the roles falling in the category?. I feel NOC 1124 represents my background better but it wasn´t included this year. What would you advise me?.

  2. I am already planning to apply for immigration to Canada under FSW program, NOC 1123 , following the new rules set in May 2014 “Caps”. However while checking my designation entitlement “Marketing Manager Designation, time being ” came to discover that the last mentioned job title is not required ,but they are looking instead for a marketing coordinator. Even though ,I went more into this and found a statement in the guide which says that ,if the job duties match what is required by the CIC then I will be entitled in addition al to the other requirements .

    Could anyone please advise ,if I applied under Marketing Manager as a primary occupation where my duties match exactly the required duties by CIC ands which is listed under marketing coordinator , my application will be accepted or not.

    Bear in mind that I worked also as an accountant for almost two years 6 years back where this designation is also required .
