Food Cravings in Office!!

If you are dieting or intending to lose weight, then office is NOT the place where you want to be! With all the tempting food around, like munchies brought from your colleague’s home or the regular tea break with quick snacks, you have no option but to gain weight! So, how to avoid the office snacks and restrict yourself with your normal weight? Here are some of the tips to control your cravings (at least for food):

  • The next time you intend to have an immediate office tea in the morning, there are all the chances that you end up taking snacks or munchies with it. Be it a small doughnut or two cookies that pile up your weight one after another. So what to do in that case? Make sure that you are full with a good breakfast so that there is no scope of eating munchies in office. Some people tend to have a light breakfast, which leave them craving for more and more food till their lunch time, which in turn leads to overweight.
  • Tell your coworkers that you are following a diet regime. This way, they won’t ask you to eat those extra calories with them, and hence, you can avoid your temptations as well.
  • Try to take fibers in between your meals so that you don’t gulp heavy portions, courtesy the long gaps during your lunch and breakfast hours. Same is applicable between a lunch and a meal at night too.
  • Try to restrict your intake of tea and coffee. If you can’t, make sure you use sugar free to cut down the intake of sugar in your body.
  • Rather, drink as much water as you can. Keep a bottle ready at your desk all the time.
  • Remind yourself time and again the reasons and motivations behind your dieting! What motivated you to lose those extra kilos from your body? Think of that factor again and again before you intend to binge upon some of the heaviest foods in the world! This way, you would be able to practice self control.
  • Office durations mean unwanted birthday parties and events, which obviously are decked with all the fat-filled food in the world. Those cakes, brownies, fudges, chips, French fries, you name it, and they have it! So how to avoid it? Ensure that you don’t take heavy portions or just one byte to satisfy your craving! Here also, self control becomes an essential part of you! Else, carry some healthy snack with you, so that when every one is eating a calorie-filled cake, you can eat your snack and be a part of your group.
