Criteria for the Occupation of Agricultural Scientist in Australia!

As the name suggests, the job of an agricultural scientist requires several duties to perform related to various agricultural needs, like: giving advices to those invovled with farming, rural industries, besides also to the government on farming, developing techniques for rising productivity, and studying plans and policies for improving forest management.

Similar to other skilled occupations, in this unit group the occupation of agricultural scientist requires a skill level commensurate with a graduate degree or qualification of higher degrees. But in some skilled occupations, relevant experience and job training is a must along with formal qualification, under the ANZSCO Skill Level 1.

If you want to migrate to Australia as a professional Agricultural Scientist, then completion of a university degree of at least 4 years like a Bachelor Degree in Agricultural Science would be compulsory for you.

Data provided by the Graduate Careers Australia, shows that 94% of agriculture bachelor degree holders worked for 4 months after the completion of their course, while 33% of whom, worked as Science Professionals, 11% worked as Managers and Administrators and rest 11% were Manual Workers.
