Recession forced U.K. to tighten its Immigration Rules!
It seems that the economic catastrophe has not freed the markets till now. Recent news says that the UK is planning to tighten its Immigration rules by confining access to jobs for International Skilled Workers.

The plans include certain additions where the UK Firms are required to double the time (four weeks, extended from two weeks) for which it becomes essential for them to advertise jobs in the UK, before advertising them for foreign Skilled Workers. In addition, the qualifying period for foreign workers who are willing to transfer to work at the UK base of their company has been prolonged from six months to at least one year.
According to the Home Secretary Alan Johnson, the changes would further result in the strengthening of the UK’s economy and help in the recruitment of the Foreign Skilled Workers, BUT NOT AT THE EXPENSE OF THE BRITISH WORKERS!
Also, the threshold annual salary at which an individual can qualify as a Skilled Worker and gain eligibility for a Work Permit in the UK will be raised from 17,000 pounds ($28,000) to 20,000 pounds a year.
The future has all the answers in store! One has to wait and watch to see the positive or negative effects of these changes! But to be on a safer side from one’s own perspective, it would be a wise option to take assistance from an expert Immigration and Visa specialist to know all the know-how of the Immigration world.
