All you MARRIED men out there fasten up your seat belts, as Supreme Court has come out with the final verdict for all you guys who are already tied up in the nuptial knot! – Forget Your Freedom!

Supreme Court Tells Married Men – “Forget Freedom”

In a divorce suit that was filed this Thursday, SC has commented that married men should never think about their freedom at all! The subordination thrust upon them is a result of “dividends” that they are bound to pay for their alliance.

In straight words from the Supreme Court, there is no point of independence whenever a person is involved in marriage! Hilarious but Serious! Isn’t it? The statement came across after listening to the divorce suit between Colonel Ajit Sharma (name changed) and spouse Seema Sharma (identity kept anonymous). In other words, the court is directly or indirectly pointing out in the direction that one should always follow what the wife says and never go against her authority.

In another statement by Justice Markandey Katju in the year 2009, he stated that in order to gain full authority over life, it is necessary to always be on the right side of your female spouse, else get ready to be ruled by others. ;) In his another jovial words, he said that if the wife says turn right, then follow her commands and TURN RIGHT.

Coming back to the divorce suit, the case became amusing and convivial when the female spouse wished a “Happy Independence Day” to her husband after both of them went on to file the case with mutual agreement. Now that’s what we call a real “Independence Day.” Initially the court didn’t agree on the case and said that they don’t break marriages. To go a step further, they even tried to unite the couple, but gradually came to understand that they simply cannot stay together under one roof anymore. The strange situation is that it was not long back when I wrote this very interesting article about “Why do couple apart after so many years of their marriage” (http://blog.abhinav.com/divorce-after-so-many-years-of-married-life-is-it-right/). Do read it too!

But what I don’t like about a divorce is that children become the greatest sufferers as a result of parents parting apart! And in this case, Priyanka (name changed), their daughter studying in a boarding institution in Dehradun had to face the consequences! Hence, the father has been asked to work on a package on which he would be providing help to his estranged wife and the daughter for her future aspects.

Such news pieces leave me in a state of restlessness for some time. But I guess, one can’t help. This is life!
