The Denmark Green Card program is based on the Point Based System. This immigration program is meant for senior executives and professionals. The program offers a permit for residence for a period of three years to the applicant and his dependent family members. The eligibility criteria that an applicant is judged is based on the points based system which includes academic qualifications, age, total work experience, academic qualifications obtained in Europe and so on. The Government of Denmark has brought out an occupation list which is the ground for applicants to apply.

However, while applying for the program, it is but obvious that the applicant has to be extremely careful and should take all the necessary precautions. Some such aspects to be considered include:

  • Details regarding the points based system should be looked into very carefully prior to applying. The applicant should only apply if he scores the minimum pass mark. In order to score the bare minimum, the applicant must carefully look into all the aspects of the points based system.
  • The applicant has to be sure whether or not his profession features in the Positive List of Occupations. This list is based on the assessment conducted by the government. This list consists of those professions where in there is a shortage of skills in the country. These are the jobs that could likely be taken over by immigrants.
  • The applicant should get a complete overview of the educational qualifications that are mandatory for him to qualify for the visa. It is best that the applicant consults a specialist for the same who can advise him on the same.
  • Just by having the relevant qualifications will not make an applicant automatically eligible for the program. The applicant has to provide with the relevant reference letters from his employers which enlist his job responsibilities.
  • Right amount of fee has to be deposited along with the application form. The form should contain the right information with the relevant supporting documents.
  • To prove his English proficiency, he must submit his English test reports or a statement in English language.
  • All the documents which are not in English language should be translated in English.
  • The application procedure involves certifications for various documents from the various Indian authorities. So, the applicant must know of all the authorities that need to be contacted for the same.
  • The most important of the eligibility criteria is to have the relevant amount of money to cater to the settlement expenditure in Denmark. This has to be for the first year after obtaining a permit. Thus, proof of funds should be attached with the application form. For this, it is important to seek advice of an expert regarding the various forms of savings and so on.

All in all, the applicant must know that the application must be submitted at the nearest Danish Embassy in the applicant’s country of origin. In order to go through a hassle free immigration process, it is best recommended to contact an Immigration and Visa Specialist.

In an attempt to meet the demands of French teachers in British Columbia, Canada, the recruiters of the province is eyeing at European skills. The recruiters are hoping to address the shortage of French teachers by traveling to job fairs in Europe.

British Columbia is in need of French teachers who could teach French in both English and French school systems. Recruiters like Janet Stewart traveled Paris and Brussels in Europe and attended job fairs at the end of 2009 in a hope to draw teachers to British Columbia who could deliver core French and French-immersion programs in English, as well as French schools.

Earlier, Quebec had been the reliable source of French-speaking teachers, but of late, the province is not producing sufficient number of teachers who could teach French. Thus, slowly the education sector, like many other industries are relying on foreign skills to address the labor shortage.

British Columbia is running short of speech-language pathologists; French-immersion teachers; education specialists; and teachers for areas like music, physics and special education. However, it is seen that teachers from foreign countries are not flocking as much as other skills immigrate do in various other sectors. This is because the province has not yet worked on some of its bureaucratic complications when it comes to gaining British Columbia certificate.

The executive director for British Columbia Chapter of Canadian Parents for French, Robert Rothon asserts the need of French teachers and said that the shortage of the teachers in the province has diminish the growth of French-immersion programs!

Italy was recently acknowledged as “the most welcoming country” in the entire Europe. Contrary to Australia, that has left no scope in getting the tag of a racist country; Italy, on the other hand, claims that THERE IS NO RACISM in the country what so ever.

italy

Andrea Ronchi, the European Affairs Minister, confirmed that Italy shows no signs of racism, and only those people who do not know Italy can make allegations for the same! He further blamed the rest of the Europe that left Italy to face the problems of immigration of its own.

He stated that Italy would provide a free tour to all those people who have accused the country and show them as to what Italy is all about! It offers solidarity and a welcoming attitude to everyone who enters its premises. At the same time, it is also true that “ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION” too exists as a violent phenomenon.

He further called all those who accuse Italy as a racist country as being STUPID! He applauded Italy as the most welcoming country, days after residents attacked African farm workers who were found complaining and agitating against their conditions. Reports say that various residents and immigrants were left injured in the Italian town of Rosarno.

Several incidents have been witnessed where immigrants were bashed seriously and left wounded. Interior Minister Roberto Maroni, stated that these incidents are a result of “too much tolerance towards clandestine immigration“.

To be very precise, immigration is a phenomenon that involves migration of individuals into another country. Mostly, immigration is associated to the migration of people that intend to obtain the permanent residency in the foreign country. Thus, an individual who migrates into a country in order to settle there permanently is an immigrant. In other words, an immigrant is a person who has not been born and brought up in a country where he intends to settle permanently.

The process of immigrating is a complex one. It involves an individual making himself adapt to a completely new environment all of a sudden. Reports say that Europe is the nation with largest number of immigrants in the world with a rough number of 70.6 million migrants.

There are basically two factors that play vital roles in motivating individuals to immigrate. One is the Push factor that refers to the emigration of individuals from their country of origin. The set of push factors may include poverty, torture, mass destruction, risks of war in their own land. The second one is Pull factor, which refers to the migration for education, availability of jobs, or to work and get specialization in specific fields. Besides, there are other factors that compel people to immigrate, such as personal relationships; or in order to change nationality.

The process of immigration is bound by a number of rules and these rules differ from country to country. There are countries that allow free movement of people, while others are very selective about the flow of immigrants. Normally, wealthy countries in the world are selective about permitting only the skilled, educated and wealthy immigrants.

Immigrating to a foreign country is common now-a-days, however, it’s not always easy though! Often, the process of immigration is stuck by natural, legal as well as social barriers. Some of the barriers in the immigration process include- country of origin, culture, and folks (natural barriers); and various rules and regulations associated to the immigration process (legal barriers).

A research poll conducted by Gallup proves many people in the world think alike. This is especially true for with immigration plans. According to the survey, almost 700 million worldwide wish to immigrate to a better country.

The survey was conducted between the years 2007 to 2009 in 135 different countries in the world. It was found that 16% of the population would want to migrate to another country permanently.

Other key findings include the following –

  • Asians have the least intentions to migrate to other countries. Only 10% of the population that is around 250 million people intend to move to another country.
  • 38% of the population i.e. around 165 million adults from the sub – Saharan African countries wish to immigrate.
  • The United States has been voted as the most popular country for all the prospective immigrants. Around 165 million people showed their interest in moving to the United States.
  • 45 million projected an interest towards Canada as their country of residence in the future.
  • North America and Europe are the favorite destinations for immigration purposes with almost 80 million wishing to emigrate from one EU country to another.

In addition to the above, 45 million people select UK or the France, 35 million for Spain, 25 million each for Australia and Germany and another 30 million for Saudi Arabia.

The research was conducted via telephonic as well as face to face interviews with 259,542 adults across the world. This number consists of 93% of the world population. These results are a clear indicator of the rise in immigration in the future with more and more people, especially from the developing countries.
