Without being innovative life would have been so dull! Ideas are the only things that stir up some taste to the mechanical life we lead today. No matter how people are engaged in their super busy life, they would always enjoy things that are innovative. People will always find time to appreciate the beauty of an art work. To me, an art work can be anything where people use their ideas, regardless of its amount or level. Actually, these are the little things that can bring happiness and sense of satisfaction into our lives. Besides, these little things can be the treats to your dear ones. So, it’s a win-win situation.

The idea of getting creative with a dinner or a lunch can never go wrong. Remember, people always eat with their eyes first. And food is something with which you can let your creativity run to no end. The presentation of food is itself is an art. Yes, presentation matters a lot. The way you present food tells a lot about you. Even a simple recipe can make wonder when added your creativity to it. We learn a lot about food and its visual presentation through traveling. Some people are so much into these details that they often travel to new places only to acquire knowledge about different delicacies and the way they are being presented. This is a good thing, indeed and traveling has multiple advantages! Because, when people travel to rejuvenate themselves they also get the chance to please that special pursuit of theirs.

So, if you are one of these people, what have you noticed so far? Which culture has captivated you the most? If people have to put it down to one, then I believe, most will say, it’s Japanese! Yes, Japanese have always done it the right way. This is because, creativity is an integral part of the Japanese people. Rather, Japanese are very particular about the way things are being presented- be it their architecture, attire, and of course, food. You must have known people who have visited the country and loved and praised its cultures, especially the food culture.

Now, this does not mean that you have to visit Japan in order to learn how to present food differently to your guests. Without witnessing the out-of-the-way culture, you can help yourself to stand out with your presentation this time. It’s all about letting your ideas run really well. Ideas are always in our mind, but this time let yourself run them when you do the preparation for the dinner for your guests, at your home.

Depending on who are coming to the dinner, you decide on a theme first. Let’s do something different this time- how about using some unconventional utensils rather than those delicate plates and bowls!! Your cupboard must boast a number of different crockery items, but you might have never found an occasion to use all of them. Why not use them in a different manner, for the coming dinner party? I leave it to you…since it’s you who knows better what is in the cupboard!

Salads are a great thing to add extra edge to your dinner presentation. Shape and form of food, or how food appears makes for a different eating experience. There are endless ways to cut and arrange salads. Think of something else other than a plate to get them to the dining table.

If you decide on some drink for the dinner, then you do not have to bother about other details much. Since, a good brand of wine is something that adds charisma to the event. The presentation of wine is altogether a different art, where the type of wine glass you use take the center-stage. Browse the market nearby your place and get some stylish, yet useful glasses! There are endless varieties of wine glasses available, ranging from an array of designs to shapes!

The way how you present the food to your guests makes a big difference. Your unique presentation can make even the simplest dish an appealing one! Once again I say, ideas are always in our minds, the only thing we should do is to incorporate them when doing things!

The world is truly becoming global and every country looks forward to welcoming overseas students in their country as it adds a flavor of different culture and language in their country. This blend of different culture and language creates a learning environment for students which help them to be tolerant and respectful towards people of different culture and religion.

With high level of illegal immigration, countries are tightening their legal procedures and laws of immigration for foreigners. But there is still some scope of relaxation for students wishing to study in foreign countries as many countries maintain some space for students in their laws so that they can fit in and can easily migrate to their country.

One such country is Hong Kong which has relaxed its immigration laws for the overseas students especially for the Japanese so that their prospects of studying in Hong Kong can increase.

Michael Suen, the Hong Kong’s secretary for Education in a statement said that the nation welcomes the Japanese students with open arms to study in their country. He further said that various educational reforms, liberal policies for foreign students and modern lifestyle along with luxuries of the city will surely attract more talented students to this country.

To lure more students, Hong Kong has recently introduced scholarships for students to provide inexpensive education to them. The scholarships will be able to cover their tuition fees and their daily expense as well. In fact, the Hong Kong government has also relaxed its immigration policies and various restrictions on employment as well as for overseas students.

This is truly a sensible step by the Hong Kong government as this would just hit the target directly because many students hesitate to apply for foreign countries owing to strict immigration laws.

Recently, Japan deported an anti-whaling activist, who hails from New Zealand. The activist was convicted of multiple misconducts when he was trying to obstruct the Japanese whaling on the Antarctic Ocean, which the country carries out every year.

It was back in February this year, the New Zealander, Peter Bethune crawled a Japanese ship, which was taking part in the annual whaling trip to the Antarctic Ocean. He was then detained aboard the ship. After reaching Japan, the activist was being arrested. Last week, he was sentenced with 2 years imprisonment. But, later the verdict was suspended, instead he was being deported a couple of days ago back to his native land.

The activist is a member of the United States-based Sea Shepherd, a conservative organization which has been raising its voice against whaling trips to the Antarctic Ocean by Japanese. Reportedly, the whale hunts in the ocean which is conducted annually by Japan is part of a research program. However, the anti-whaling organization, as well as other critics have over the years claimed that these trips are for commercial purposes.

The deported activist was convicted of multiple misdoings and giving the whaling ship a hard time. In a trial in the month of June, Bethune apologized for his misconduct. But, in an earlier trial, he was caught saying that he was trying to communicate with the Captain of the Japanese ship which ruined his organizations’ boat over collision in January regarding the loss.

Should a female worker be fired for her ‘sense of dressing’ at the workplace? The recent case of a female employee being fired by Citibank in New York questions this very aspect. Her only fault was that her male colleagues found her distracting owing to her strong sex appeal. Debralee Lorenzana has filed a case against her employers for unjust decision being taken.

Citibank Fired one staff for being Hot!

This news has raised some really interesting issues to debate like should an ideal work place follow the dress code as the standard procedure at all offices or an individual has the right to decide what to wear or what not to?

Those in favour of freedom to choose their dress code would say that it is an individual’s right to flaunt their body and charm if one has an ideal figure. This is especially true for those who work hard to get that kind of body. Even those who do not have an ideal figure will say that beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder and they have a right to dress up the way they feel like, especially when they wish to get somebody’s attention!

And shouldn’t an office be a place where one can enjoy and feel good about themselves besides working? Or, is this not true that those with better physique can dress up more nicely and smartly? And taking the argument further, are they not correct in their protests that people take a dig at them because they are jealous? And so, they do not want to leave any stone unturned to harass them.

Then, there are others who would say that they left have left the school a long time back and issues of equality amongst all in the environment does not hold true in the professional world. So, having a dress code at the work place is not such a good option. Some may say that when it comes to a work place, people from different backgrounds, religions, social customs and financial backgrounds come together. Hence, when it comes to dress it tends to become a personal choice. Others may like to point out that the Japanese and the Korean companies where it is compulsory to come in a proper dress code are amongst the most productive in the world. Some may favour it and some may not based on their ability or inability to show off.

This case throws some interesting questions in the Indian context as well. Firstly, to define what a “Sexy Dress” is? In fact, it is mostly misunderstood that only western dresses can be called as sexy or provocative. An Indian dress like a Punjabi salwar suit with the right cuts or a sari with a deep neck blouse draped in a sexy manner can be equally provocative. Should men be distracted in such situations as well?

Another question that comes up here is why can’t a man be claimed for getting dressed sexily? Is this not true that men with a great physique and dressed well are often a distraction for women colleagues as well?  Distraction could be due to both the genders at the work place and not necessarily the female workers only. It has less to do with provocative outfit but more to do with the mindset of an individual. A focussed employee would never have any major issues when it comes to such aspects. It is agreed that some level of decency should be maintained but one cannot force one’s opinion on someone. Hence, getting a pink slip for such unimportant reasons which have nothing to do with one’s level of performance in the company is not just and reflects the narrow mindedness of the people. An employee must be viewed above all these petty issues and then be fired.

In an attempt to attract new tourists and enhance Indian tourism, Indian has come out with new measures to allure tourists from all over the world.

The attempt has led to the outcome of a visa-on-arrival scheme, which would make sure those nationals from countries including Finland, Japan, Luxembourg, New Zealand and Singapore would qualify to get a tourist visa valid for 30 days.

Stats show that India has experienced a decline of overseas tourists since the last two years. Tourism Ministry representative Sujit Banerjee confirmed that the last year was bad but this year is decked with some huge promises.

The scheme came into action from January 1 onwards. Since then, it has accelerated the quantity of overseas visitors by a huge margin, especially seen in the month of January and February, confirmed Banerjee. Therefore, it is clear that the scheme would play a crucial role in enhancing the tourism further, in addition to increasing the flock of tourists in the upcoming future.
