Though Shashi Tharoor was dogged by multiple controversies ever since he has confirmed his portfolio in the Union Cabinet Ministry as the Minister of State for External Affairs, but the IPL controversy in the recent past has dragged him under the public scrutiny. Personally, I admire the Twitter boy of Indian politics. To me, he is an all-rounder. In a short span of time, he proved his mettle in many fields. A man with many real-life roles- a human rights advocate, journalist, diplomat, and an author, Tharoor has also served the United Nations Organization. Everything went well for Tharoor, but for his foray into the Indian politics and Indian Premier League.

He is an eminent figure, and his popularity can be gauged by the fact that he has been the first Indian celebrity to get 100,000 followers on the social micro-blogging site – Twitter. Yes, there is no doubt that he is a highly capable man and could have reached great heights in Indian politics. But, it’s not the end of the story!
