These days, the office life has become so materialistic and full of ego that we have forgotten to wish everyone the basic “Good Morning” at the start of the day, a gesture which was taken for granted some years back (but not now!)
The demon of “ego” has climbed on to the heads to such an extent that now people think “why should I be the first to wish others good morning?”
Okay, let us come to another category… Some people have this habit of looking at their cell phones or pretending to type an SMS, just because they don’t want to interact with the person passing by. If that is not all for you, they go a step ahead and look into the eyes of the person, only to put their eye lids down, the moment they have an eye contact with the other person. I mean, Okay, you are busy and have your share of work, but what’s wrong in wishing someone “Good Morning” and then move on with your work? Is it too difficult to utter these two words and carry on with your work? And let me tell you, it is just not about wishing mornings, some people are on such rude terms with each other in office premises that they don’t even look at each other for week and weeks, forget about talking!
(It may not affect you, but trust me; it is affecting your performance in the office)
Then you have those people, who intentionally implement this rude behavior in office, just because they want to show that they are too busy and occupied and hence, irritated, thanks to the piles and piles of work which have been allotted to them (when in reality, they are doing nothing at their bay). Hypocrisy is at their bay!
Some people believe that they are so talented and bossy, that they don’t need to bother about good manners. They find it their sole right to suppress people working under them, only to show what kind of authority they have. In reality, these people are losers and nothing else! Trust me; rudeness is not at all an attractive facet to follow
Talking something about good etiquettes, there is nothing wrong in asking someone politely for something and wishing people “good mornings.” “Would you please do it?” This should be an apt sentence to use at work rather than saying “I want this work to be done as soon possible.” Authority would leave you no where, but disrespect from others!
Constant rudeness would only make you an odd figure in the group, hence making you an object of mock amongst your peers, if not others! Just relax, and live the charm of being polite”! World will respect you for that!
