4. Helping other physicians in their cases.

In surgery, specialist physicians perform various tasks:

1. They asses the disease or disorder of the patient to determine the nature of surgery for that patient.

Preparations for CAT 2010 are all steaming up amongst the student community. After all, it is the dream of every Indian management aspirant to attend the top business school in the country. This period of gruel study and hard work can be considered as full of uncertainties and anxiety. The only way to overcome this feeling is by equipping oneself with apt preparation.

I have seen students appearing for CAT for years together and yet, they did not make it. Not because they did not get a percentile above 99 but because some other student with a lower percentile has obtained higher grades in his/her tenth grade. But the more important question here is whether a person who does not perform well is not intelligent or good enough to study at one of the IIMs? There are some people who are good at descriptive tests where as others who are brilliant with the multiple choice questions (MCQs). So, just because a student could not perform well in the MCQs means that he is not fit to study management at the IIMs?

By stating the above, I do not mean to question the very concept of the entrance examinations that has been set by the concerned people. At this point, there might be some who might call the above as a mere excuse for not performing well and others who might say that this is to generate mere publicity for the site. But that is not the case here…I have actually encountered students struggling to find what went wrong.

Another important fact here is that despite the hard work, the number of students appearing for the exam is so huge that it becomes a matter of chance and luck. I would call it destiny for those who have got calls from the IIMs. Now this does not mean that they did not work hard. It is good that their sweat has been well paid for.

Now that we know the percentile as well as the overall profile of the individual matters above every other aspect…so how to improve your chances? All I can say is that there is no sure shot way to success except to work hard with conviction and commitment to achieve something in life. So, my tips for those preparing for the CAT 2010 include the following:

The Immigration minister further confirmed that the policy would see some major changes to ensure that overseas students who come here to study don’t make use of their education to gain permanent residency in the nation. As far as the statistics are concerned, 93,500 fee-paying students were enrolled in the education institutions in New Zealand as compared to with 88,570 in the year 2008.

Immigration Minister Jonathan Coleman has stated in his statement that crime is a major issue which requires proper addressing from New Zealand’s point of view as far as the tourists coming to the country are concerned. According to a new Commonwealth Fund survey, U.S. has managed to gain the last rank amongst the seven countries which were rated in the research. These were the land of Kangaroos, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, the land of Kiwis and the United Kingdom. The best part about this survey is that the study lasted for three years and witnessed the participation of more than 27,000 people; some of them were from the medical faculty while some were the patients.
