Well, I am really surprised to hear the news that they dismissed the entire Hockey team, which participated in the Hockey World Cup. I know that they performed badly, their team remained at the bottom of the tournament, but it does not mean that they should be punished in this manner. There will be good and bad, both type of performances in a sport, but it does not mean that the country will not support the players in the time of bad performance.

ya i truly agree with all of you, but the important thing to be asked is why always pak cricketers involve in this type of business??
it’s their own decision?? or Lack of Financial support from their Board??
but yaa truly shameful…

@Aamir- I agree. We should not call them names. The problem in Pakistan is lack of democarcy and corresponding corruption. While players are to be blamed for on field performance, it is administrators who oull the strings and make a mess of everything. There is no doubt though that not willing a single match does raise many questions on players. This is not Bangladesh or Zimbabve we are talking about. This team was a very talented team and loosing all matches need some explaining. All in all a sad day for cricket world. I never feel happy when things go wrong in any way in Pakistan. They are our neighbours and somehow what happens there ends up affecting us in one way or the other.

when PCB has confirmed this report,, kuch doubt kisi ke mind mein reh hi nahi jaata… true that ban has been lifted,,,,but these guys surely have some linkage with match fixing,,, australia mein jaakar clean sweep hui hai,,,kuch to gadbad hai,,,and then u hav shahid’s ball tampering issue,,,is he a child ki usko nahi pata

@shyamolee…i agree with you but one cannot assume that everyone is a fixer…you have to believe what you see until something happens like this…

It’s not like that some one is calling them bad boys of cricket, just on the basis of his or her own decision, it is the official report of the PCB which punished them for indiscipline. Now in Pakistan media is also blaming the National Hockey Team for a defeat against India, that this match was too fixed.

punishment was definitely well deserved but,…the game loses as a result of such shameful incidents & the purpose of the game, the sportsmanship is defeated.
I wonder what learning such people give to their children.
