Denmark government is set to impose more stringent immigration laws on visa applicants to restrict immigration. Riding on the reports revealing that 10 billion US dollars have been saved due to stricter immigration rules, the Danish People’s Party is willing to tougher the immigration laws of Denmark.

Denmark already has one the most restrictive immigration rules in Europe. And further stringent rules will surely hamper the nation’s image on international front, predicted by economists and opposition. The stringent immigration rules have slashed the flow of Denmark migrants in recent years. Ruling government is overjoyed with the effect of the immigration restriction as it was a matter of protest by opposition. According to reports Denmark economy has been feed up by billions of savings over the past ten years and these savings had been provided for social benefits such as housing and rest welfares of citizens.

The figures show that immigrants from non-western nations migrated to Denmark have cost the €2.3 billions of funds, whereas migrants from western nations have contributed to Denmark €295 million.

These reports had flickered fury among opposition and they are dismissing these reports as undignified and discriminatory. Opposition parties said that a certain group or ethnicity of people cannot be denounced or blamed for our economic shortfall.
