A recent report from a reliable source has revealed that the Immigration officers of Australia are planning to visit a number of cities across the nation in the coming weeks to discuss the latest amendments to its skilled migration scheme and execution of SkillSelect.
The said report has also mentioned that the immigration officials will visit the below mentioned cities of Australia:
- Horsham, Victoria
- Swan Hill, Victoria
- Tully, Queensland
- Innisfail, Queensland
- Mareeba, Queensland
Besides, a new electronic service connecting the employers of Australia with prospective skilled immigrants would also be implemented from 1 July, 2012 as part of these new changes. Moreover, the regional sponsored migration scheme and employer nomination scheme will be integrated with the latest skilled migrant selection register, i.e., SkillSelect.
In this connection, the spokesperson of the Immigration and Citizenship Australia was quoted as saying that these latest amendment policies are designed to provide better responses to the needs of the labour market and to create part of the current reformation of the skilled migration scheme. The employers of Australia or Territory and State Governments will find out and nominate the interested applicants for skill visas, or the Government of Australia can invite them to apply for a visa. It will provide the government more control and suppleness for adjusting to the amendments in the economy.
Besides, sponsors also have to show that there is an urgent requirement for skilled workers in the nation, which cannot be fulfilled by native workers of their region.
The spokesperson has further mentioned that the immigration officials of Australia will be present there to provide necessary information on permanent or temporary employer-sponsored visa categories to the applicants and the discounts available for regional candidates.
