CIC (Citizenship and Immigration Canada) finally spotted a major response in the form of 1.6m visits for its ‘Come to Canada Wizard web tool’. Launched last August, the web tool actually serves its purpose of helping to those intending to immigrate to Australia, can make an assessment of their eligibility to work, study or reside in the country.
It seems that Canada immigration still has a major dominance among people, even though having a tough application process. The new web tool further lets people ask a series of questions and matches the candidate with the appropriate federal option considering their circumstances.
Canada has been remained a well focused immigration destination among overseas workers and entrepreneurs for being a highly developed and having plenty of rising opportunities in every sector. It has been reported that Canada welcomes a large number of overseas immigrants yearly – as of statics, the country issued residence visa to 248,000 foreign nationals in the year of 2011 – out of them 28,000 were those of refugees and 156,000 were economic migrants.
Canada, however, invalidated its Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), as of July 1st August, taking in the points of view of its economic changes. Canadian Immigration and Multiculturalism minister, Jason Kenny, responsible for suspending the said program, said, we have been continued introducing lots of changes to our economic immigration system. We will take further six months to make our immigration system fast and flexible.
Recently, Kenny came up with lots of announcements to change the FSWP, which will be implemented in January 2013. The new changes are aimed to target young skilled workers and make them fully proficient either in English or French language emphasizing on whether the candidates would be admitted under the program.
Kenny eventually revealed his clear intention by saying, we are open for world’s best and enthusiastic to access our country and offer their contribution in the economic development.
