However, although permit-petitions could be submitted by the applicants at any of these centres, these would be suitably evaluated only at the Canada High Commission, New Delhi or the Consulate General in Chandigarh.
Given fresh visa system in place, the nationals of India filing a visa-petition for any kind of temporary permit (student, visitor & worker) can presently present their permit petitions across the counter, at any of the above mentioned 9 visa application center. The submissions would afterwards be sent–on a daily basis & by means of courier–to the Canada High Commission at New Delhi, or the Consulate General in Chandigarh, for appraisal purposes.
Significantly, Ottawa has chosen VFS (India) to suitably manage and run the fresh Canada Visa Application Centres in India.
