According to certain fresh reports, the British Premier has reportedly said that even though he intends to welcome the right migrants, he also wishes to make them pay, to utilize the National Health Service, and to prevent them from claiming benefits related to social security and/or social housing till they have been fruitfully employed in Britain, for a period of two years.
David Cameron, the PM, came-up with his speech just days post the UK Deputy PM covered the issue of immigration in a speech even as the chief of the Opposition came up with a speech on the subject early in the month of March.
Apparently, all three chief British political outfits presently see immigration as a key political subject. Even as all are interested to claim that Britain has drawn benefits from immigration, they are fighting rather hard amongst themselves to appear tough on the blatant misuse and abuse of the arrangement.
The Premier began by allegedly observing that the nation’s migrant groups are an elementary part of what the nation is even as Britain is an affluent & strong society, thanks to them. He added that several sportspersons, physicians, scientists, musicians, & artistes arrive in the nation as migrants. However, that movement has to be appropriately controlled though the former government had badly failed on this front and could not do the job.
He further observed that he wishes to make certain that those, who turn-up in the UK from the European Union (EU) or certain other areas, must do the same for valid reasons. Notably, during the next year, in 2014, migrants from Romanian & Bulgaria will be at their liberty to arrive in Britain for work purposes, post transitional checks slapped on them in 2007 comes to and end.
Cameron continued that his administration has already well managed immigration, minus destroying the national economy, adding the Coalition under him has introduced a restriction on the volume of the Tier 2 (General) Permits which may be made available per annum, minus harming business, and that it has also come down rather hard on fake colleges, minus harming the future of the national educational establishments. Resultantly, the number of the non-EEA student at the many British universities has headed north, he claimed.
He added that perfect immigration is vital, even as London would welcome those who work hard, and whose investment produces fresh work-opportunities. However, it is also crucial to duly train the British workers, so that not many jobless Britons are left suffering, and on the sidelines, he concluded.
