Study in Canada Viable For Global Students, Claims Study

Despite the reported delays in the processing of visas by the Citizenship & Immigration Canada (CIC)–courtesy the ongoing strike by the concerned authorities and envoys posted abroad–Canada still seems to have an edge over others, especially when it comes to the average costs of proffering education to its overseas students.

According to the findings of a recent study undertaken by a well-known Canadian organization, pursuing studies in the nation is decisively cheaper for overseas students, vis-à-vis certain other countries, such as the UK, the US, & Australia. Overseas student charges in the Maple Leaf Country are allegedly highly competitive even as the same makes the nation a superior and much better option, for study purposes. Actually–thanks to its highly competitive studying expenses–the nation is arguably the clearest choice for studying out-of-the-country for a significant number of the overseas students.

Average tuition charges

The findings add that on an average, the tuition charges in the nation for the students from abroad stand at $18,474. This is the average cost at the leading 10 national universities, besides colleges. And in the UK, the average tuition charges are somewhere around $19,291 while in Australia, the average tuition charges stand at $25,375.

Hence, the study findings by the group mentioned elsewhere visibly reveal that–when it comes to study abroad–Australia is the costliest country for the global students. The average yearly study expenses in Down Under are $38,516 even as the average yearly expenses of studying in the UK & the US are $30,325 & $35,705 respectively.

Lower living costs

The overall expenses of living in Canada are remarkably lower, vis-à-vis not just Hong Kong and Japan, but even most of the European nations. Allegedly, Australia is the costliest country, for study purposes. Actually, the tuition charges in the country are almost parallel to the tuition expenses in the US. But, it’s the costs of living in the Kangaroo Land which makes the country a very costly place for pursuing studies abroad.

Further, in 2013, Canada gave red-carpet welcome to close to 100,000 students from abroad even as the same shows an increase of 60% over 2004. The average yearly costs in Spain, China, Taiwan, besides Russia, are believed to be less than $10,000. And, the average expenses of studying in Germany are just $635 per year. This is the lowest among the 13 countries surveyed by the said organization even as the same makes the nation in question, i.e., Germany, the least costly country for study purposes, out of 13 countries covered by the study.
