The ‘Skill Select’ will work as an electronic two-stage process where visa applicants first submit a claim for skilled migration through an online Expression of Interest (EoI). In second step, aspirants may then be invited to submit a visa application on the basis of their EoIs.
Permit applicants are selected on the basis of points test scored in selection criteria. All visa candidates are required to be proficient in English language, prior to the submission of the EoIs. Along with other requirement, the aspirants will also have to be approved by ‘Skill Select’ to obtain their visas to the immigration hotspot.
Under killed migration, the applicants can apply for below sub classes:
- Skilled Independent Subclass 189: Via this, permanent visa option is available. The category does not require sponsorship by any relative or state/territory government
- Skilled Nominated Subclass 190: Under this, a permanent visa requires nomination from an Australian state or territory government
- Skilled Nominated or Sponsored Provisional Subclass 489: Though this, a 4-year provisional visa is provided which allows the permit holders to live in certain areas of the nation. For obtaining this visa, the applicants need to be sponsored by an Australian family member living in certain area, or by state or territory government.
- Skilled Regional Subclass 887: The skilled regional sponsored visa is the permanent stage of the provisional skilled migration permits. In order to obtain skilled regional visa, the applicants must live in the required region of oz for 2 years, and work full time continuously for at least 12 months.
- Skilled Graduate 485: The skilled graduate permit is valid for 18-month and can be used by an international student who has completed 2 years of study in the foreign destination.
