Australian Government Launches New Educational Resource Book!

In an effort to bring awareness about Australian citizenship among the school-level students, the Aussie Government has introduced a new resource book on citizenship. The book is expected to help school teachers in delivering more detailed lessons on Australian citizenship and help students know their civic responsibilities towards their nation.

The educational resource book, ‘I am Australian: Exploring Australian Citizenship’ has been designed to teach and provide the students with deeper understanding of their civic responsibilities. The government’s effort to help school teachers in delivering the important information like civic responsibilities is quite appreciable!

Chris Evans, Oz Immigration and Citizenship Minister said that the resource book is of great help in making the students aware of their responsibilities towards their nation. According to him it is very important for every Australian citizen to have the adequate knowledge about his/her duties of being an Australian. The book proves to be helpful for not only the immigrants, but the people who are born and brought up in Australia as well.

The salient features of the book include: class room activities in relation to curriculum of each state and territory; Australian citizen case studies; and activities related to the nation’s democratic beliefs.

‘I am Australian: Exploring Australian Citizenship’ was recently launched by Chris Evans, along with Steve Georganas. According to the Mr Georganas, the knowledge about Australian citizenship is crucial in everyone’s life, since it signifies a sense of belonging to the country!
