How the program works?
The scheme follows the two major steps:
First, Canada immigration-motivated skilled workers create an online profile stating why they wish to work and live in the country. Eligible applicants are placed in Express Entry pool and are ranked against each other as per the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). Qualified workers may score up to a maximum of 600 points.
Second step will include issuing an Invitation to apply to those applicants who have scored the highest points. They will have sixty days to claim the permanent residence (PR) status in the country.
Trained workers without a job offer, or a provincial/territorial nomination, may duly register themselves with the Canada’s Job Bank. It provides a direct link between the employees and employers. It is an open search engine where employers may search for the suitable skilled professionals, and offer them a job skilled. Workers with a prior job offer may earn extra 600 points.
As the program has already become effective and the first draw has taken place on January 31, closer to 800 skilled professionals have received an invitation to apply.
