Lindsay Lohan, the 23-year old actress, famous for her acting in the “Mean Girls” could be banned from returning to India, courtesy her deeds during her visit to India last year. She was here on a Tourist Visa, made a documentary on child trafficking and ended up posting certain comments on her Twitter account.
The comments, in return, allowed the officials to know about her deeds that she breached the visa regulations by traveling on a Tourist Visa while working. In addition, she falsely claimed that she has rescued 40 young children from the havocs of child labor. This comment of hers was responsible for causing much humiliation for the government officials.
It has been said that officials in New Delhi are deciding whether or not to make her name count in the Immigration Blacklist!
She boasted on Twitter that she rescued the child workers by assisting a raid on a workshop which employed children as labors. She claimed that it was life changing experience and occurrences of these kinds make life worth living. She also commented on the fakeness associated with the life of a celebrity and contrasted it with the aspect of social activism.
But the activists involved in the raid commented that actress was not even present in India until after the rescue operation had taken place. Therefore, there is no issue of her involvement in the raid.
