“Working Holiday” Agreement

Canada recently signed a working holiday agreement with Taiwan. According to this deal, nationals from Canada and Taiwan would be granted the ability to work and roam in both the countries. It will give the youngsters sheer freedom to travel and work in particular industries for a time span of one year. Also, the agreement would provide priceless life experience to all these youths and an opportunity to understand mutual culture of both the countries.

The agreement is commenced to enhance bilateral relationship between the two nations as well as Taiwanese tourism to Canada, which according to the official sources has downside by a huge margin, since last few years.

In addition Japan-Taiwan working holiday program has also made its way into the existence. As per Peter Tsai from MOFA’s Association of East Asian Relations, this memorandum is a perfect opportunity for young brigade who are eager to travel in other nation but are facing financial problems. He went on to affirm that all those applicants who are intending to join the Taiwan-Japan working holiday program are advised to file for the procedure as early as they can do.

He said that the program is a long awaited one, a facet which is depicted by the huge numbers of enquiries faced by the government agencies as well as the Foreign Ministry officials.

Officials mark that Japan and Taiwan would be offering 2,000 openings each in the initial year, whereas the applications would be accepted from June 1-5 and Nov. 2-6 by the Taipei-based Interchange Association.
