The new Arizona Immigration laws have left celebrities talking all over the media. Colombian singer Shakira is not left behind. She has joined those people who are opposing the laws and also think that the amendments would have an unfavorable effect on the Latinos.

She is immensely worried not only about the Latinos but the kind of impact these laws will have on their poor clan as well. According to her adviser Trevor Nielson, the singer is highly tensed about the harsh immigration rules governing the applicants intending to immigrate to Arizona. In addition, the police have been granted all the authorities to check the authentication of all the immigrants on which they have any doubt on or the ones who are caught carrying improper documents.

She would be visiting Arizona to acquaint herself with the amendments and how the law authorities are reacting to them. She also wants to make it clear that the residents of Arizona are not targeted on the basis of racial profiling or their skin color.

Shakira has also made collaboration with other groups which have been opposing the new Immigration amendments. These groups have demanded boycott of the regulations.

Trevor stated that the singer is hoping to have a word with Governor Brewer during her visit, canceling all her prior commitments towards other tasks. She angrily enquired whether the government would really enforce these laws and crush the aspiration sof millions of immigrants?
