Amir Khan, an ace WBA light-welterweight champion was on his way to defend his title in match which was going to be held on May 15, 2010. But his visa delay would not allow him to fulfill his dreams in the upcoming championship which would be commencing in New York.om.
Courtesy his visa delays, the ace champion has been directed to move to Canada after he was speculated to have connections with some offences in the United Kingdom, allowing the Immigration officials to provide hindrances in his work permit.
According to Robert Diaz from Golden Boy Promotions, the champion had to go to Vancouver and is expected to clear some occurrences concerning his younger days, but they are sure that he would be able to attend his championship that will commence in New York. He went on to convince that Amir is a professional player and has been a focuses candidate throughout all the championships.
If all the circumstances would get back to normal, Amir would be fighting to defend his title and if he successfully does so, he would be playing one on one with Kevin Mitchell. Situation is such that both of them are showing their keenness to play but believe that the other person would simply not take part in the fight. Also, the interesting part about Mitchell is that he is still undefeated! The fighter says that he wants to do it but he has found that Amir wouldn’t as the latter one is acquaint with the scores!
The only thing which the fans can now hope is that the havoc in visa delays should clear out soon so that everyone can witness the upcoming matches.
