Punjab Youth Accused of Holding False US Visa!

Recently, Indian immigration officials arrested a young boy from Punjab for holding a false US visa on Thursday, at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata. The alleged rule breaker was reportedly, deported back to India by China for the same reason.

The accused, Bickramjit Singh Cheema had flown to China the previous week in an intention to fly to the United States. But, he was caught and found guilty of holding a fabricated US visa during an emigration check in China. The country’s immigration executives took him into custody in Kunming, when he was trying to escape from China. He was being deported by China, who was then being put into custody by Indian officials after his arrival in international airport in Kolkata. The officials suspect that the young boy received the US visa from a China-based Indian agent.

Of late, there have been many cases pertaining to holding false visas. In one of the most recent cases, a son of fast food stall owner from Delhi was found guilty and eventually arrested for bearing fake passport. He has obtained false visa from a Delhi-based agent by paying a huge amount of Rs 60,000.

Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport police produced both the convicts in the Barrackpore ACJM’s court on Thursday afternoon. Although, these two youth were migrating overseas for their better livelihood, but they had taken the wrong path, said a police officer.
