Despite the protests, many surveys have shown that the local people support the Arizona Immigration Law. The people believe in having a proper strategy which can bring about detailed reform in this matter.

Around 70% of the voters in Arizona support the new law on immigration which would give the authority to the local police to check the immigrant status of a migrant. As per Rasmussen, about 23% are not in favor of the law. Also, the data shows that half of the people in the United States are in the favor of the law and prefer it to be implemented in the entire nation.

A poll conducted by the CNN projected that about two-thirds of the people actually believe in the law and feel that the undocumented migrants would find it easier to be the citizens of the United States. The people also feel that a barrier should be kept that would prevent the illegal migrants from walking into the United States. Two-thirds of the citizens also feel that these illegal migrants are a burden on the economy of the United States.

This clearly shows that the subject of immigration is quite a delicate one amongst the local people. This clearly shows the anxiety of the people which has now come out in the form of anti-immigrant law passed and proposed in some states.

The people living in the border states of the country are especially found to be supporting this law. As per them, these undocumented migrants are responsible for the increasing rate of crime. There have been cases where a student about to graduate was found to be violating a traffic signal. She was later found to be undocumented although she has been living in the United States since she was 10 years of age.

Thus, the politicians immediately came about a resolution as per which there would be a verification of citizenship as a part of the admission procedure for all the state universities.

Above all, the United States is a developed nation and thus, would attract immigrants from all across the world. Thus, the nation has to secure its borders in a much better way.
