Tourist visa renewal laws clarified!

It is definitely a sigh of relief for the nationals of about thirty-three nations who intend to visit the United Arab Emirates. The citizens of the listed nations are now exempt from tourist visa renewals to be catered to at the border checkpoints. This has been confirmed by the relevant officials.

The above news came about as an attempt to clear the confusion which has been prevailing for the last two years after the rule was brought about. However, those passports which are not mentioned on the list would have to wait for a minimum of a month before they intend to return to Emirates. This is as per Brig Obaid bin Suroor, Deputy Director, Dubai General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs.

In 2008, the law pertaining to monitoring the re-entry of foreigners on temporary visas was introduced. This law was brought about to curb the abuses being encountered by the system. However, there are many who are still not aware of the amends that have been brought about.
