70 Pak prisoners freed by India land in Pak!

70 prisoners from Pakistan were released from various Indian jails and were passed over to the rangers from Pakistan, the incident happening at the Wagah border earlier this week. 52 out of the seventy released from the jails are local Pak fishermen.

A Pakistani ranger has confirmed that the prisoners included two women along with some children amongst many other people who were sent back to their home land as a goodwill gesticulation with the commencement of a New Year ahead.

It has been said that the clan of these fishermen and people from Fishermen Cooperative Society were there at the venue to receive their family members. The official further said that they have been informed that six more nationals from Pakistan would come here once they will pass the procedures for immigration.

A majority of fishermen released are from southern Sindh province. Reports say that the preparations for their expedition starting from Lahore to Karachi would be commenced by the Fishermen Cooperative Society.

The step by Indian government is appreciated by various activists as well as media groups all over the world. Ansar Burney, who is the foremost rights activist has shown his gratitude towards the government of India for discharging the prisoners from Pakistan and commented that the incident would help in making the relations between both countries strong, hence enhancing peace between both the countries.
