If an individual applies for residence class visa from onshore or while in the Kiwi country, this does not mean the following:
- That it makes the individual’s presence in New Zealand lawful; OR
- That it gives the individual the right to remain in Kiwi country while his/her residence class visa application is being considered; OR
- That it gives the individual the right to apply for or be granted any visa while his/her residence class visa is being considered; OR
- That it prevents the individual from being deported from Kiwi country.
Status of newborn children of residence class visa holders:
- Newborn children included to their parents’ application after residence class visas are granted to their parents and the rest of the family are liable to Migrant Levy instructions.
- Children born to NZ residence class visa holders, who have not traveled to the country on that visa, not even for once, may be included in their parents’ application. To be added to the application, following credentials are required:
- 1. A birth certificate; AND
- 2. Two passport-sized photographs; AND
- 3. An appropriately filled-up and acceptable Immigration New Zealand medical certificate; AND
- 4. An acceptable travel document.
