New Zealand Resident Class Visa for Siblings and Adult Children!

Under the New Zealand Sibling and Adult Child category, siblings and adult children of New Zealand citizens or residents can be eligible to obtain a Kiwi residence class visa, if they meet the following:

  • The principal applicants must not have any family member (immediate) living lawfully and permanently in the same country where the applicants are presently living lawfully and permanently; AND
  • The principal applicants must have an acceptable employment offer from a New Zealand employment; AND
  • The principal applicants must be aged 55 or younger when they file the application under the Sibling and Adult Child Category; AND
  • The principal applicants must meet all the health and character requirements.

Under the circumstance, where a sibling or an adult child has to be sponsored by his New Zealand resident sibling or parent, then the sponsor must meet all the requirements to support himself/herself as an acceptable sponsor to sponsor residence class visas as per the residence instructions.

Principal Applicants with dependent child:

Principal applicants of the sibling and Adult Child category may have dependent child or more than one child. In order to be eligible to obtain a New Zealand residence class visa, such applicants must meet the requirement of minimum income so that they can support themselves and their dependents once they land at the Kiwi country. Let us have a look at the minimum income requirements for applicants with different number of dependents:

  • In the case of one dependent child, the overall income of the family must be summed up to at least 30,946 Dollars per annum.
  • When the number of dependent children is two, the overall income of the family must be minimum of 36,493 dollars per annum.
  • When the number of dependent children is three, the overall income of the family must be minimum of 42,040 Dollars per annum.
  • When the number of dependent children is four or more than that, the overall income of the family must be 47,586 Dollars per annum.
