Before the actual process of migration starts, you will have to go through a skill assessment process by the relevant national assessment body. Engineers Australia is the official assessment body for Agricultural Engineers.

You have to forward all your relevant documents to the skills assessing department for that. It will help you in the immigration process, as, on the basis of your submitted documents, the assessing body will give advice to the Immigration and Citizenship Department regarding your qualifications or work experience. While awarding points for your qualifications and work experience, the department will consider the advices by the assessing body.

In several skilled occupations, in order to practice your profession in some particular states, the applicants must be registered with or get a license either from a government agency or local authority from that particular state. For example: to practice the profession of engineering in Queensland, the engineers must get a license from the government authority of that state.
