Almost 50 Percent of H1B visa holders from India-US report!

In accord with an official report from the US, almost half of the H-1B work visa holders in the US come from India, with a majority of them being hired for various positions in technology department.

According to the Government Accountability Office (GAO), it has been established that the total number of approved application from the year 2000 till 2009 had 46.9% people from India.

The report further pointed out that a majority of applications marked their way into the US from various parts of Asia. This especially holds true for the workers intending to apply under the H-1B category.

Additionally, top four nations providing the maximum number of H10 workers to the US are India, China, Canada and the Philippines in that order. It further added that seeing the figures for the past ten years, it has been confirmed that 64% have approved H-1B visa applications had these four countries as their country of origin, while a majority of them coming from India.
