Australia Increased Skill Immigration Level by 12,000 Places to Touch 125,850!

Australia is set to attract more skilled overseas workers to the nation to bolster the labor market. The government has mounted the skill stream by 12,000 quotas in the immigration planning level of 2010-2011. This year the planning level has been mounted to a total of 125,850 places. It was announced by the government as a part of the Budget 2011 an increase in the skilled visa program accompanied by several new initiatives.

The Department of Immigration and Citizenship will start skilled immigration forums with cooperation of the WA Department of Training and Workforce Development all across the Perth city. The core information focused under the skill migration forum will be sponsoring overseas labors through 457 visa, permanent skilled immigration programs like the regional sponsored migration scheme and employer nomination scheme, checking worker’s labor rights, existing and future visa programs for semi skilled workers through labor and regional agreements.
