If we go by the latest Australia SKillSelect Update you should start planning placement of your request if you are seriously interested in moving Down Under through skilled migration scheme. It is not indicated by a soothsayer’s forecast but by the trends which are emerging in the recent selection rounds of the SkillSelect.
In the short listing round concluded on October 21, 2013 over 900 people were sent invites to advance to the next round of Immigration process under subclass 189 federal skills permanent class i.e. the applicants have been asked to submit documentary evidences of the claims that they had made in their EOIs. It is necessary to note that you must always submit the correct information in the EOI as it can lead to cancellation of your request in case the documents submitted do not match the information furnished at time of creation of your profile.
Most heartening trends that are illustrated from the current selection round indicate the race for a place in Aussie migration is still open. As per the Australia SKillSelect Update almost 95% of the people selected for next round had scores between 60 marks to 70 marks and only 5% of profiles advanced to the next stage had scores above 70, i.e., 75 and 80.
Although, the trends indicated by these figures do not really reflect the true picture of the selection process as per the occupational codes because the short listing is always affected by the Australia SKillSelect on basis of rankings attained by profiles in each of the trade pools. The minimum cut offs for the indicated six trade codes were as follows
