As per a new research report, students from India–keen to pursue studies in Australia–are powerfully controlled by the nation’s immigration & visa rule in registration matters, in advanced educational establishments in the country. Apart from certain conventional stimulators—like, for example, higher rates of returns, besides employability related with an overseas qualification–such students are highly receptive to the amendments in the Kangaroo Land’s labor market, immigration, & student permit procedure.
The research report says that the recent modifications made in the skilled migration strategy are closely related to Indian request for Australian education as seen by falling registration numbers, student permits offered, besides student stocks. With a view to offset this decline movement, Immigration Australia brought-in certain changes, and cut-down the financial conditions for the student permit aspirants.
The department also suggested some modifications to employment constraints to allegedly make them comparatively more flexible, via bringing-in post-study work permits from 2013 onwards, which would allow the global students work for a maximum of four years in the country, post graduation.
The report continues that the said measures by Immigration Australia–together with encouraging promotion to lay emphasis on the nation’s status as a secure place, besides the opportunities for part-time work in Down Under, vis-à-vis its rivals in the post-GFC downturn–could lead to a return in student figures from India.
The research tracked the students from India first in IT & accounting study courses, only to be followed by hairdressing & cookery, even while they pursued shifting motivations in the skilled migration arrangement.
