Australian Skilled Occupations List Amended Including 4 New Occupations

Finally the much-awaited new Australian Skilled Occupations List (SOL) has been rolled out by the government of Australia – scheduled to come into an effect by July this year- will be applicable for all those who are anxious to apply for Australia immigration under the General Skilled Migration Program.

The newly structured skilled occupation list includes four new occupations in the list, while four old occupations have been eliminated. Migrating to Australia under General Skilled Migration Program, an individual will only be allowed for migrate if he is either sponsored by the State of Territory Government or capable of satisfying the eligibility for transitional arrangements.

The reason behind including the four new occupations in Skilled Occupation list is quite clear- is to fill the huge shortage of skilled workers for this occupation – and better growth has been anticipated in these occupations.

However, some existing occupations have been removed from the list only because of huge unemployment rates in the mentioned occupations.
