The nominee applicants who wish to apply under Business Skills category of the BC PNP Business Immigration are needed to meet the following requirements:
- They must have a workable business proposal.
- They must make a personal investment of at least $400,000 (Canadian Dollar) to establish an eligible business in British Columbia.
- They must also have plans to create at least three new jobs in the business for Canadian citizens/permanent residents.
- They must have at least one-third of the business’ equity.
- They must provide active and on-going participation in the day to day management and direction of the proposed business.
- They must possess at least $800,000 (Canadian Dollar) of personal net worth.
- They must demonstrate that they have the required skills, experience, all other abilities, as well as an active on-going role in the management of the business.
- They must come into an agreement regarding performance with British Columbia.
- In case, if applicants are a fast-track nomination through the BC PNP, they must also come into a deposit agreement with the province. If one opts for this option to obtain PR in British Columbia, he/she needs to deposit a refundable amount of CAD $125,000.
Applications for Business Skills category under the BC PNP Business Immigration can get refused in certain circumstances. A few of them are:
- If the applicants face a unresolved asylum claim in Canada.
- If applicants are in Canada unlawfully.
- If applicants are facing deportation order in Canada.
- If applicants are facing ban from entering Canada.
