Britain Will Need Millions of New Homes!

As reports are to be believed, Britain is likely to require over two million new houses in the coming twenty-five years in order to cater to the number of immigrants the nation will welcome. According to the reports, Britain will be required to facilitate around 83,000 immigrant families a year for the next twenty-five years, given the influx of immigrants continues the current trend.

During the period, from now and middle of 2030s, over 50 percent of the new homes will only facilitate individual immigrants and immigrant families from across the world. South-East and London are expected to be some of the most crowded places in Britain, as a result of the influx of the migrants.

According to communities department of United Kingdom, the nation’s demographic growth is one of the prime reasons as to why there is growing demand for houses in the United Kingdom. And if we notice the current population growth trend, it would be clear that over 50 percent of the nation’s demographic growth is significantly contributed by immigration.

The United Kingdom has recently put limit on the number of visas for individuals from non-Europe Union nations. As against the anticipation that Britain may need millions of new homes in the coming years, it would be interesting to witness if the nation receives the expected numbers of migrants after the implementation of the permanent immigration cap on non-EU nationals.
