Express Entry Steps

To become eligible for one of the above mentioned schemes is just the beginning. Once your application is accepted you will enter the Express Entry Pool where you will be assessed as per the CRS and only the top scorer out of 1,200 points will be invited to apply. The whole process can take up to 12 months and finally you will be asked to apply if you score well. You will be given two months for the object.

Your Express Entry application will remain valid in the Express Entry Pool for at least 12 months. Though there is no limit on the number of people who can create the online profile the IRCC has put a limit on the number of ITAs issued every year. Once the cap is reached, the quota will be reset for the next year. And, if you do not receive an ITA for 12 months, you will have to create a new profile, or in simple words, have to follow the complete procedure–right from the start.
