At present, Under the Express Entry for skilled workers, there are 347 occupations which are been considered as eligible for meeting the minimum required criteria for the entry to the Maple Leaf Country.
Applicants–who are interested in moving to Canada under the Express Entry for skilled workers–should be from one of the professions as listed in the list of 347 occupations.
If they match the criteria they can certainly apply. They can submit their visa application and will be allowed to move to the overseas hotspot after the successful acceptance of their visa application.
All the applications of the skilled workers–who are interested in applying for the visa for Canada–are first placed under the Express Entry Pool. Only those applications that match the certain criteria are considered for further evaluation and other face rejection.
There is a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) which has been designed to accept the applications. All the petitions are ranked based on point assigned to certain things, like age, education, work experience, etc.
Based on this rank of the CRS the profiles of candidates are being shortlisted for further evaluation. The candidates with higher rank are given priority for further consideration. These candidates will be allowed to submit their application for Permanent Residence (PR). The applicant must submit their application within a period of 60-days.
Under the Federal Skilled Workers programme the applicants
- With an acceptable level of education;
- With an acceptable level of education work experience;
- With an acceptable level of age limits and;
- With an acceptable level of language proficiency for French and English.
Will be considered for further evaluations and will be allowed to apply for permanent residence.
In order to qualify to apply to the Express Entry Pool as Skilled Worker, you, as an applicant, should meet the following essential Conditions:
As an applicant, you should possess at least one year of uninterrupted experience of full-time paid work or its equivalent in part-time conditions within the last 10 years, in one of the eligible occupations as referred, in the list of 347 eligible occupations.
It is must for the applicant to have work experience which is currently classified in the
Skill Type 0 (Managerial Occupations)
Skill Level A (Professional Occupations),
Skill Level B (Technical Occupations that includes Skilled Trades)
It is also must for the aspirants to score the satisfactory points in the skilled worker point grading system.
The current skilled worker point grading system consists of six main factors for selection.
The present mark to pass is 67 that means the applicant should score at least 67 points and not less than that.
The applicant would be required to undergo the language test to prove his language proficiency English even as he can apply for the test from a recognized third party testing center.
The candidate would be required to provide suitable evidence related to suitable funding.
The applicant would be required to undergo security background check to ensure all the credentials provided by him are valid.
The applicant would be required to undergo medical examination to ensure that he is not going through any life threatening disease which can infect others at a later stage.
Selection Factors:
In order to get selected, the aspirant has to go through selection criteria and should score at least 67 points in the selection grid for skilled worker.
Education – Maximum of 25 points
The maximum number of points that an applicant can score is 25. Candidates with doctoral degrees will get the maximum benefit. There will be a designated third party that will decide whether your credentials are valid or not.
For Language, the applicant can score a minimum of 16 points and the maximum of 28 points that will be based to his test evaluations.
For employment experience, the applicant can score a minimum of 9 points and maximum of 15 points.
For Age – an applicant can get up the maximum of 12 points.
The applicant can score up to 12 points if his age in between 18 and 35 years.
