Talking about the development, the concerned immigration body, the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC), has allegedly declared that some recruiters/job-providers were sourcing their qualified labor requirements from outside the nation’s territorial jurisdictions, minus first checking the accessibility of labor at the local levels.
The recruiters/job-providers will, at present, also have to furnish particulars on the number of workers they will offer sponsorship to & if a fresh nominee fulfills the English language condition. In this connection, an involved person observed that the workers ought to be, at present, hired by their sponsor, in a direct worker-employer association. He added that the same forbids on-hire systems which fall outside the sanctioned Labor Agreements even as it stops the sponsors from hiring visa-holders through arrangements which look like independent contracting deals.
According to the latest permit charges that became effective recently, the candidates for family permits will be slapped with extra fee. Besides, Down Under has also made public a revised Skilled Occupation List (SOL). It sees 5 professions, namely, Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Avionics), Retail Pharmacist, Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Structures), Hospital Pharmacist, apart from Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) being eliminated from the SOL. The fresh list duly establishes which professions are entitled for independent & family sponsored skilled migration permits.
