Businessmen of Turkish origin are making their expectations from EU-members states and countries in North Africa and the Gulf region that they should no longer put the visa procedures for the Turkish citizens.

Mehmet Büyükeksi, who is the head of Turkish Exporters’ Assembly (TIM), stated that positive reflections were seen in the foreign trades of Turkey, courtesy the visa exemptions. He went on to say that the products can move freely in Europe, but as far as their businessmen are concerned, they cannot move there. This statement came when he pointed towards the EU’s visa procedures crafted especially for the Turkish people.

According to officials, the intense diplomatic efforts as well as the zero-problem policy with the neighboring countries of Turkey has allowed the quantity of nations which do not need visas from the citizens of Turkey has risen to 61 in number.

Büyükeksi has noted this fact that a facet like visa exemption plays a crucial and positive role for the businessmen who hold frequent travel to other countries for the purpose of enhancing bilateral relationships and visiting fairs.

He confirmed that talks are going on to solve these issues and the outcome is expected to very soon. In addition to this, experts from the export industry feel that lifting the visa procedures from the Turkish businessmen would allow them to have different advantages in the upcoming future.

The immigration aspect would also see a great turnover after the visa restrictions would be taken off from the Turkish businessmen.
