Well, there have been more than 100 cases so far, pertaining to the illegal entry of Haitians to the United States through Canada. Recently, the US immigration agents recently arrested a few more Haitian refugees as the latter were trying to enter Vermont via the Canadian province of Quebec.

Till now, numerous cases have been reported and many Haitian refugees have been arrested for illegally entering the US. As far as the recent case is concerned, the US Customs and Border Protection operations officers have to say that many of those refugees were trafficked. The officers suspect the involvement of some organized rings in trafficking of those refugees.

Haitian community members are exposed to traffickers, ever since the rumor of US government allotting temporary protection status to Haitians leaked out. The traffickers are taking the advantage of the rumor, but the truth is that the status is applicable to those Haitians who have been living in the US after the widespread Haiti earthquake.

The US immigration is concerned about the Haitians who have been affected by the disastrous earthquake, but the recent cases of illegal entry of the refugees are making the government worried. The nation does not bother people traversing the border, as long as they follow the US immigration rules and regulations. But, offenses like illegal immigration cannot be spared out!
