Immigration Australia Reports Increase of Applications for Short Stay 456 Business Visa

According to a recent report by the Immigration and Citizenship Department of Australia, a huge number of people came to this nation on short-term business visas in the previous year. Latest data shows that more than 120,000 applicants applied for the 456 subclass short stay business visas in the very last quarter of 2011.

As per the latest figures by the Immigration Department of Australia, there was an increase of 11.4% in number of applications between the months of September to December in 2011. The said report has also revealed that the highest numbers of applications were from China, where about 21,000 applications were submitted by the Chinese nationals. In this connection, an immigration representative of the country was quoted as saying that the increasing number of applications from China was reflecting the sound business ties between Australia and China.
