Contrary to the prevalent view, India is reportedly placed at the second spot in terms of sending students to the UK, for study purposes. This is allegedly an altogether different matter that some applicants from India produce bogus documents/papers for the purpose, in the process, making it much difficult for the real aspirants to shift to the country, and enroll themselves for various study courses therein.
As per a concerned person, the UK is a highly free nation, and it wishes Indians to make a trip to its territories for travel, job & study purposes. At the same time, the country requires safeguarding its national borders in view of immigration dangers and the likelihood of some persons bypassing its immigration checks, via furnishing fake documents.
However, he made it clear that the figure of rejected permits were not noteworthy since as many as 9 out of every 10 Indian aspirants, who file submissions, gain permits. He stressed that the friendship between Britain & India was tremendously strong, and especially in the education field there were frequent partnerships and joint ventures between the two nations.
Sometime earlier, the UK premier had visited India and pledged the students of the country that they are at all times welcome to pursue studies in Britain, and that there was no upper-limit on the figure of the intake of students from India.
