Result of any immigration fraud is “jail.” A recent arrest in the UK fortified this facet further.
The concerned person and an Indian by origin intended to get involved in fake marriage scam with a motive to stay in the UK. Reports say that his scam was attested by the immigration authorities hence ordering him a jail sentence of 16 months for the charges of breaching the immigration laws of the UK.
The woman with whom he planned to get married through sham marriage fraud has been sent to prison for fourteen months, confirmed the authorities.
The concerned hearing is an integral part of enforcement action commenced by the UK Border Agency in an attempt to weed out illegal/undocumented people residing in the country. These people may be linked with crimes like working in an undocumented manner, getting involved in sham marriages or smuggling.
According to a spokesperson from the UK Border Agency, after uncovering these sham marriages, the concerned people would be prosecuted further, hence interrogating them on various abuses of immigration laws going all over the country. In addition to this, the agency is working closely with marriage offices and churches to know about the marriages performed for immigration purposes.
Over the years, a lot of couples get involved in fake marriages, hence choosing the wrong path for immigration purposes. The end-result, hence, is known to all. People intending to immigrate are always advised to take assistance from an immigration and visa expert and opt for a legal path towards immigration.
