The E2 Investor Visa allows the prospective applicants to enter the US premises and work there on the basis of the investments controlled by them, while inside the US. It is essential to renew the visa and at the same time it is mandatory that the applicant who is making the investment must make contributions to the US economy.

Depending upon the nature of your business, the investment made should exceed a minimum amount of $200,000, but the investors must know that the amount may reach $500,000 and above also. Also, it is a must to spend all the money directly on the business. Any money not spent on the actual business would not be counted. The amount of capital required to invest in the business is determined by the USCIS by using an ‘Inverted Sliding Scale.’

After the conclusion of the business, the applicant must go back to their home countries. E-2 Holders must leave the premises within 6 months. Even if they want to stay in the US further, they must change their status to continue staying further.
