There is no denying that New Zealand is recently topping the list of priorities of hot study destinations, when it comes to overseas students. Currently, it has been chosen over many western destinations by international students, for which the options available in the country often come at cheaper prices, as compared to its adjacent country Australia and the UK and the US.
Expectations are high among world student’s community that New Zealand would stand up as even more favorable study destination with the set of new immigration laws implemented by the Kiwi government. As hinted by the country’s immigration minister, the country would have a new visa for international student, as well as there will less law-bound formalities. The new type of visa, coupled with the less complicated entry procedure would definitely ensure an easier process for foreign students to enter New Zealand and take up their favored course over there.
As of the time until the country’s new Immigration Act was passed, foreign pupils intending to enter New Zealand were required to undergo a severe examination before they were issued a visa. That’s a tedious process, involving medical and police checks. But, the new Act which is in force currently makes things much easier for international students. Now, foreign students are issued with temporary visa while their student visa applications are being processed by the Immigration New Zealand.
