Investor 2 Category- Migrant Investment Categories!

The Migrant Investment Categories are comprised of two sub-categories. One of them is Investor 2 Category. A person who is interested in applying for a resident visa under the Investor 2 Category is required to provide an Expression of Interest (EOI) form. Below are a few facts about selection process:

  • In order to be eligible to enter into the Investor 2 Category EOI Pool, an Expression of Interest must meet all the requirements concerning health; character; age; English language; business experience; investment, as well as settlement funds. Besides, the applicant must have at least 20 points score to be in the pool.
  • EOI’s are selected from the pool on period basis by INZ.
  • An applicant is awarded with points for factors- age, language proficiency, business experience, and investment funds.
  • EOIs are selected from the pool on the basis of points ranking in different factors.
  • If an applicant’s Expression of Interest is selected, the person may receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for a resident visa. An individual with such an invitation can only apply for a NZ resident visa under the Investor 2 Category.
  • A NZ resident visa applicant under the Investor 2 Category must satisfy health and character requirements.
  • The principal applicant must invest 1.5 million NZ Dollars in the Kiwi country.
